Non-programmer's kibbitzing[edit]

The statements I just added may be incomplete. I note there is now a parameter, -mb, to set the heap size. Combining that with this, I infer that -maxdemo could take an almost arbitrarily large value, as long as -mb was raised to match, up to one's virtual memory total (which could be like 8TB depending on the machine).

I looked for evidence in the source code but couldn't find it. Even if I'm right, however, no one would actually do this because it's easier to just disable the limit globally.  —Xeriphas1994 (talk) 03:12, 6 March 2016 (UTC)
